James Claude Matthews

James Claude Matthews, 58, passed away Wednesday, February 7, 2018. Funeral services will be held at 3:00 PM Sunday, February 11, at Milton Shealy Funeral Home Chapel with interment in Billy Matthews Cemetery with Rev. Charles Swann officiating.
Visitation will be held from 2:00-3:00 PM prior to the service at the funeral home.

Mr. Matthews was born in Newberry, SC son of the late Claude Matthews and Delight Forrest Matthews Rodgers. He was also preceded in death by his step-father, Jake Rodgers. He worked for Michelin in Lexington. He enjoyed reading, working on cars and helping his brother.

Surviving are his brother and sister-in-law, Timothy Forrest Matthews (Karen) of Saluda; niece, Sue Ellen Shealy (McKinley) of Leesville; great nephews, Matthew and Nolan.
