Allen Johnson Sr.

Allen Maurice Johnson, Sr., 53, of Leesville passed away Monday, April 5, 2021. Born in Aiken County, he was a son of Gail Watts Williams and the late Walker Delane Johnson. Mr. Johnson worked for WP Rawls for 15 years where he was recently awarded the 1 million safe mile award and was also a driver trainer having trained over 200 drivers. He was an Avid Carolina fan and was a loving husband, father and son.

In addition to his mother, Gail, he is survived by his wife, India Gantt Johnson; sons, Allen Johnson, Jr. and Zachary Johnson (Miranda); brothers, Rodney Johnson (Angie), Terry Johnson (Pam), Julian Johnson (Beth); sisters, Laura Jean Johnson (Donnie), Beth Perry (Travis); his grandmother, Zulla Mae Johnson of Warrenville; 13 grandchildren; stepfather, Steve Williams and stepmother, Virginia Rollins.. Mr. Johnson is also survived by sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Shirlyn Bailey (Jack), Brenda Anderson (Charles), Lisa McDaniel (Dickie), Mary Ann Steele (Wayne), nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and extended family. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his daughter, Ashley Bennett.

The service for Mr. Johnson will be held at 3 p.m. on Saturday, April 10th at Milton Shealy Funeral Home with Mr. Brandon Whitman officiating. The family will receive friends Friday evening at the funeral home from 5 until 7 p.m.
