Ann Marie Mizell Raines

Ann Marie Mizell Raines, 85, of Leesville, passed away Thursday, January 6, 2022. Born in St. George, SC, she was a daughter of the late Thomas A. and Marion Heaton Mizell. Mrs. Raines, a life long Catholic, enjoyed reading, word puzzles, gardening and also had a love of watching birds. She enjoyed dancing in her earlier years and was known to most as a social butterfly.

She is survived by her loving husband of 67 years, Howard K. Raines Sr.; her children, H. Kelley Raines, Jr.(Deborah), Clendon P. Raines (Pamela), Paula R. Hull, and David T. Raines (Gina). She is also survived by her sister, Mel Murdock (Bill);10 grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren, 2 great great grandchildren as well as several nieces, nephews and extended family. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Faye Riley and her brothers, Thomas and Donald Mizell.

The graveside service will be held at 1:00 P.M. Sunday, January 9th, at Bonne Rest Cemetery, 360 S. Main Street, Ridgeville, SC 29472. The family will receive friends from 4 until 6 p.m., Saturday, January 8th at Milton Shealy Funeral Home.
