Annie Ruth Rikard

Annie Ruth Rikard, 86, of Leesville, passed away Saturday, January 24, 2015, after a short illness. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Tuesday, January 27, at Milton Shealy Funeral Home Chapel with interment in Nazareth United Methodist Church Cemetery with Rev. Roger Phillips officiating. Active pallbearers will be Calvin Rikard, Jr., Jamie Rikard, Jeremy Rikard, Matthew Rikard, Charles Rikard, and Claude Rikard. She was born on March 14, 1928 to the late Willie Lee "Bud" and Ida Belle Rushton Kirkland. She graduated from Hollywood High School. She is survived by her seven loving children, Calvin Rikard, Sr.; Shelby Rikard Hydrick (Don); Nelson Rikard (Joyce); Steve Rikard; Roger Rikard (Brender); Joel Rikard (Kelly Lewis); and Sharon Rikard Kneece (Charlie Miller); seventeen grandchildren; seventeen great grandchildren; one great great grandchild; two sisters, Bessie King; Frances Leopard (Pee Wee); and one sister-in-law, Ruth Kirkland. She was preceded in death by her son, Bobby Ray Rikard; grandchild, Amanda Elizabeth Rikard; great grandchild, Quentin Michael Hall; three brothers, Ollie, Ray and Harvey Kirkland; and one sister, Mary Lillian Rikard. The family will receive friends from 6:00 - 8:00 P.M. Monday, January 26, at Milton Shealy Funeral Home, other times at the home of her daughter, Shelby, at 3640 Columbia Highway.
