Archie Smith

Archie Smith, 83, of Monetta, passed away Monday, April 4, 2016. Funeral services will be held at 4:00 P.M. Thursday, April 7, at Mt. Ebal Baptist Church with interment in the church cemetery with Rev. Bill Paulling officiating. Active pallbearers will be Larry Wheeler, Leaver Smith, Monty Smith, Wallace Smith, Travas Smith and Rickie Gantt.

Mr. Smith was born in Aiken county, son of the late Arthur and Carrie Hall Smith. He served in the US Army for two years.

Surviving are his wife of fifty nine years, Lois Fulmer Smith; daughters, Elizabeth Ann (“Jimmy” Sammy) Mundy; Wanda Kay (William) Diggs; three grandchildren; six great grandchildren; sister, Leconia Allison of Whiteplains, MD. He was preceded in death by brothers, Murrell, Thyrill, M.C., Carnell and Jimmy Smith.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 – 8:00 P.M. Wednesday, April 6, at Milton Shealy Funeral Home.
