Arthur Prater

Arthur Kent Prater, 65, born on April 27, 1956 in Florence, SC to Ed and Frankie Prater, passed into the loving arms of God on September 8, 2021 in Lexington, SC.
Kent was a hardworking, fun loving, big hearted and generous man. He was a loyal friend, loving brother and devoted son and uncle.

Kent is survived by his mother, Frankie; a brother, Jim (Julia) Prater; sisters, Marsha Kirkland and Becky Brown; nieces, Rebecca Brewer Gordon and Carrie Rachel Dean; a beloved nephew and constant companion, Eric Brewer; and six great nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, Ed Prater.

At Kent’s request there will be a private family graveside service. In lieu of flowers, the family request memorials be made in Kent’s honor to a local charity.
