Billy Corder

September 16, 1936 — February 13, 2019

Billy Corder, 82, of Leesville, passed away Wednesday, February 13, 2019. A memorial service will be held at 3:00 PM Sunday, February 17, 2019 at Milton Shealy Funeral Home Chapel. Visitation will be held from 2:00-3:00 PM prior to the service at the funeral home.

Mr. Corder was born in Batesburg, SC son of the late Chester and Martha Corder. He worked mainly in the sawmill / lumber industry. His passion was fishing, football and his family.

The family wishes to honor and thank the following for their friendship and compassionate care Shealy's BBQ staff, MSA Hospice staff, Mr. Troy Buzhardt and Mr. Jim Oswald and Oswald Lumber staff. A special thank you to his neighbors for always watching over him and caring.

Surviving are his son and daughter-in-law, Lester Corder (Terri); daughter and son-in-law, Lisa Corder Koon (Stan); sister, Joann Waters; grandchildren: Tori McCormick, Jason Corder, and CiJi Miconi; ten great grandchildren; step-grandchild, Amanda Kiwitz; step grandchildren: Josh Hill and Jessie Dubois.

He was predeceased by his parents; daughter, Linda Corder; brothers, C.W., George Ray, Theodore and Gerry Corder; half-brother, James Fox; sister, Louise Bryant; step grandchild, Jake Hill.
