Carol B. Connelly Jr.

Carol B. Connelly, Jr., 71, of Batesburg passed away Tuesday, August 17, 2021. Born in Newberry, SC, he was the son of the late Carol B. Connelly, Sr. and Iris Evelyn O'Shields. Mr. Connelly retired after 38 years from Norfolk Southern Railroad as an Engineer. He raced cars as a hobby and loved riding his Harley motorcycle. Mr. Connelly was a member of Oak Grove Baptist Church.

He is survived by his wife, Frances Faye Hall Connelly; sons, John Connelly, Chris Connelly (Wendy) and Shawn Connelly (Jennifer); grandchildren, Lauren, Rachel, Wyatt, Waylon and Grayson. Mr. Connelly is also survived by two step sons, Alan Freeman and Scott Freeman (Diane).

The service for Mr. Connelly will be held at 3:00 p.m., on Sunday, August 22nd at Milton Shealy Funeral Home with the Rev. Dennis Metts officiating.
