Carrie Carleton

Carrie Frances Newman Carleton, 84, of Aiken, died Tuesday, June 05, 2012, after an illness. The family will be receiving family and friends on Saturday, June 9, 2012, from 2-4PM, at the home of her daughter.

Born in Notasulga, Alabama, she was a daughter of the late Jesse Lee and Doris Coan Newman. Mrs. Carleton was a member of Aiken First Presbyterian Church. She was a former secretary at Foreman Memorial Baptist Church in New Ellenton and was a retired secretary from USC-Aiken.

Survivors include: her son, Jesse M. Carleton Cynthia K. Taylor of Augusta; a daughter, Rae C. Guy William E. of Trenton; grandchildren, Justin E. Guy, Julie, Jessica, Jennifer and David Carlton; a four great-grandchildren.
