Debra Jean Moates

Debra Jean Moates, 57, of Batesburg, passed away Thursday, April 2, 2015. Funeral services will be held at 4:00 P.M. Monday, April 6, 2015 at Hulon Baptist Church with interment in Hall Town Cemetery with Reverend Robert Patterson and Reverend Brian Holland officiating. Active pallbearers will be Allen Terry, Robert Taylor, Donnie Moates, Brandon Moates, Christopher Jones and Caleb Bagwell. Honorary pallbearers will be Jamie Lovette and Jake Chavis. Mrs. Moates was born in Batesburg, SC, daughter of the late Gerald and Sallie Stone Jones. She was a homemaker. Mrs. Moates was a member of the Faith Riders Motorcylce Ministry. Surviving are her spouse, William "Butch" Moates; children, Richard (Christa) Jones; Waylon Jones; Donnie Moates; Brandon Moates; Sally (Todd) Slade; Mary Jane McGowan; and fifteen grandchildren. She was preceded in death by son, Christopher Moates. The family will receive friends from 6:00 - 8:00 P.M. Sunday, April 5, 2015 at Milton Shealy Funeral Home, other times at the home of her daughter, Sally Slade, 415 Galleon Road, Batesburg, SC 29006.
