Eddie Lewis Larsen

Eddie Lewis Larsen, 86, passed away Monday, November 22, 2021. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Wednesday, December 1st at Millbrook Baptist Church. The Rev. Bill Howard will officiate.

Eddie was born in Buhl, Idaho, one of nine children to the late Leland and Leola Denney Larsen. Eddie graduated from Aiken High School, Class of 1953. Following graduation, he served in the United States Navy from 1953 until 1956. Navy life moved him to Pensacola, Florida, where he met his first wife, Sara Anita (Weaver) Larsen. Eddie attended film school in Hollywood then moved to Pensacola with Anita, where he raised son Mark and daughter Lauren.

After a time in the television production industry, Eddie switched over to the sign business. The family moved near Chicago, where Eddie made his name in the electronic sign business. He sold large scale projects to the city of Chicago and O'Hare Airport, as well as winning many awards, including Man of the Year in the early '90s. During this time, Eddie and Anita built a family that grew to include eight grandchildren.

Eddie and Anita retired to Boynton Beach, Florida, in 1995. They remained in Florida until the passing of Anita in 2006. Eddie eventually moved back home to Aiken, SC, and was selling signs to customers like Target until recent illness led to a much deserved retirement.

Eddie was an avid golfer and sports fan. He married his second wife, Maria Garcia in 2010. They are both devoted members of Millbrook Baptist Church.

Surviving are his wife, Maria C. Larsen; children, Mark Larsen, Lauren Wagner (Timothy); step-children, Jiarmanny Lopez, Jonathan Garcia, Jocelyn Garcia; grandchildren, Jes Larsen (James Erdmier), Samantha Rusciolelli (Brandon), Courtney Wagner, Elizabeth Larsen, Erin Wagner, Rosemary Larsen, Timothy Wagner, Jr, Monique Wagner; and great grandchildren, Adelaide and Bennett Rusciolelli. Also surviving are his sisters and brother-in-law, Leona Bishop and Idonna "Dolly" Scircle (Charles). In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Sara Anita Weaver Larsen and a brother-in-law, Billy Bishop.
