Edith Steele

Edith S. Steele, 61, of Leesville, passed away Tuesday, November 10, 2015. Edith was born in Whitmire, SC to the late Brice & Nadine Bostic Steele on February 22, 1954. She married Wyman Steele, December 23, 1975. Edith was a member of East Side Baptist Church and loved by all who knew her. Surviving are her husband, Wyman Steele; children, Ronnie (Elisabeth) Steele; Tammy (Carl) Alewine; James (Theresa) Steele all of Leesville; Kim (Jimmy) Inman of Buffalo; twelve grandchildren and four great grandchildren; brothers and sisters, Brice Steele; Vince Sanford; Brian Steele; William (Bit) Steele; Michael Corder; Patricia Melton; Ronda Jackson, Tammy Watson; Rita Arrowood. She was preceded in death by her brothers, Rusty Steele and Chavis Lee. Visitation will be held Thursday, November 12 from 6:00 - 8:00 P.M. at Milton Shealy Funeral Home, other times at her home. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Friday, November 13, at Milton Shealy Funeral Home Chapel with interment in Ridge Crest Memorial Park with Rev. Mitch Bruner officiating. Active pallbearers will be James Steele, Ronnie Steele, Kevin Melton, Travis Alewine, Terry Leaphart, Jimmy Inman and Shannon Birchmore. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Eastside Baptist Church, PO Box 2159, Leesville, SC 29070.
