Ernest Calvin Bedenbaugh

Ernest Calvin Bedenbaugh, 65, of the Ridge Road Community, in Leesville, SC passed into eternity, on April 1, 2017. Calvin was born to Eddie Calvin Bedenbaugh and Annie Laurie Cannon Bedenbaugh on October 5, 1951. Calvin was a devoted husband and a father.

He loved woodwork and was a cabinet maker by trade. He spent his working years as a carpenter for Columbia Lumber Company, in Columbia, SC, and Taylor Brother’s, in Gilbert, SC. After retirement, Calvin enjoyed, caring for his many farm animals, and using his new lawn mower. He is a former member of First Calvary Baptist Church. He was a man of few words but will be greatly missed by his family.

He is predeceased by his wife, Janice Robin Bedenbaugh, his step-daughter, Heather Medlin, brother, Samuel C. Bedenbaugh, and parents, Eddie and Annie Bedenbaugh, of Leesville, SC.
Calvin is survived by his sons, Douglas Eddie Bedenbaugh, and Andrew Calvin Bedenbaugh, both of Leesville, SC, his step-son, Johnny Medlin of Westminister, SC , brother, Joseph (Gale) Bedenbaugh of Lexington, SC, sister, Martha (Glen) Kinard of Leesville, SC, numerous nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.

Memorial service will be held at 4:00 PM Tuesday, April 4, at Milton Shealy Funeral Home Chapel conducted by Rev. John Steele. Visitation will be held from 3:00-4:00 PM prior to the service on Tuesday, at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers memorial can be made to Milton Shealy Funeral Home, c/o Ernest Calvin Bedenbaugh Memory, 115 North Pine Street, Batesburg-Leesville, SC 29006.
