Frances W Shaw

Frances W. Shaw, 91, passed away on Wednesday, May 13, 2020. She was born on December 26, 1928 in Leesville, SC, to Sidney and Nannie Burkett Warren. She was a 1945 graduate of Batesburg-Leesville High School during the time when only 11 grades were required to graduate. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Leesville.

On June 18, 1949, Frances married William C. Shaw, Sr. She worked in retail at Dodd’s Dime Store, B.C. Moore & Son, and Owen Drug.

Surviving are her sons, Billy (Linda) and Randy (Missy) Shaw; six grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; sister, Sandra Warren; and nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, William C. Shaw, Sr.; brothers, Charlie “Jr” Warren and Larry Warren; sisters, Ruth Adams and Louise Rosson; and special friend, Claude C. Smith.

A graveside service will be held at 11:00 A.M. Saturday, May 16, at Ridge Crest Memorial Park with Rev. Charles Leonhardt officiating. Memorials can be made to First Baptist Church of Leesville, 264 Main Street, Leesville, SC 29070
