Furmaline Mills Anderson

Furmaline Mills Anderson, wife of the late J.W. (Dug) Anderson, passed to her heavenly home on March 25, 2017. Funeral services will be held at 3:00 P.M. Wednesday, March 29, at Hulon Baptist Church with interment in the church cemetery with Rev. Robert Patterson officiating. Active pallbearers will be Danny Mills, Mark Mills, Tony Reindeau, Randy Anderson, Jody Temples and Steve Kinard. Honorary pallbearers will be the Hulon Baptist Church Adult I, Senior Ladies and Senior Mens Sunday School Class.

She was born June 1, 1937, the daughter of the late Furman and Letha Mills. She was a retired textile worker having worked many years at Burlington Industries in Batesburg and then later at Knight's Industry of Saluda. Hulon Baptist Church was her church home for all of her adult life. She was church clerk, Happy Hearts and Baptist Women's faithful and a member of the Adult 1 Sunday School class. She previously served as VBS teacher and member of the hostess committee among other roles.

She is survived by her daughter, Gail Anderson of Greenwood SC; her son, Rick Anderson (Debbie) of Batesburg and her brother Daniel Mills(Cynthia) of Red Bank SC. She is also survived by her special family Bobby, Tammy, TJ, Bobbie (Danial) and Olivia and a variety of special nieces and nephews whom she loved being an extra mom to anytime it was needed. She was preceded in death by an infant son, Wayne Anderson; and brothers, Gene (Mary) Mills and John (Carolyn) Mills.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 – 8:00 P.M. Tuesday, March 28, at Milton Shealy Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hulon Baptist Church Building Fund, 133 Hulon Church Road, Batesburg, SC 29006.
