Gene Harris

Gene Allen Harris, 69, of Saluda passed away, Sunday, April 25, 2021. Born in Aiken, SC, he was a son of the late Arthur Frampton Harris and Beatrice Rowe Harris. Mr. Harris worked at Piggly Wiggly in Saluda until his retirement.

He is survived by his sisters, Jane Anderson and Nancy Hurt; a brother, Davy Harris and his wife, Joyce. He is also survived by nieces, Joy Rebecca Byrd (Stephen), Stephanie Mitchell (Trent), and Kendra Anderson; a nephew, Charles Anderson (Christie) and several great nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a brother, Fred Harris; nephew, Wayne Anderson and brother-in-law, Larry Anderson.

A graveside service for Mr. Harris will be held at 3:00 p.m., Wednesday, April 28th at Travis Park Cemetery in Saluda with Rev. Burton Campbell officiating. The family will greet friends at the graveside following the service.
