Gordon Lamar "Bill" Williams, 93, of Batesburg, passed away Saturday, August 08, 2015. Graveside services will be held at 10:00 AM Monday, August 10, at West Creek Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. Hank Fanning officiating. Mr. Williams was born in Greenville, AL son of the late Judson Lamar Williams and Leila Till Williams. He was a member of West Creek Baptist Church. He was an Army Veteran. He had retired from Amick Farms after fourty-four years of service. Surviving are his wife, Edna Padgett Williams; sons and daughters-in-law, Michael Padgett "Mike" Williams (Gayle); Bryant Lamar Williams (DeAlva); daughter, Lisa Williams Brown (Terry); grandchildren: Sabrina W. Berry (David), Leigh Brown Holmes (Joseph), Erin Brown McCormick (Mike), great grandchildren: Brooke Berry, Tori Berry, Charlie Holmes, Chase Holmes, Chapin Holmes, Marlee McCormick and Spencer McCormick. He was predeceased by his sisters, Jollie Helmes; Joy Suggs; and brothers, Grady and Judson Williams. The family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00 PM Sunday, August 9, at Milton Shealy Funeral Home, other times at his residence. In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to: West Creek Baptist Church, 248 Church Road, Batesburg, SC 29006.
