Grover Livingston Carson

Mr. Grover Livingston "G.L." Carson, 73, passed away Wednesday, August 25, 2021. A memorial service will be held at 6:00 P.M. on Saturday, August 28th, at Milton Shealy Funeral Home. The Rev. Ken Stafford will officiate. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.

Mr. Carson was born in Orangeburg County, a son of the late Grover Livingston Carson, Sr and Leila Jeffcoat Carson. He was an avid fisherman and enjoyed watching westerns and game shows. Mr. Carson along with his wife, owned and operated Ridge Spring Food Center for 27 years.

Surviving are his wife of 54 years, Sherry Carson; sons, Matt Carson (Jennifer) and Michael Carson (Terrel); and grandchildren, Caleb, Makayla and Jayke Carson. Also surviving are his brother, Bill Carson; and sisters, Judy Jeffcoat and Janice New. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by brothers, Carroll and Roy Gene Carson.
