A Mass of Christian Burial for Helen A. (Obrzut) Kowalski, 97 will be held at 1 PM, Thursday, November 14, 2019 at Corpus Christi Catholic Church in Lexington, SC, officiated by Father Raymond Carlo. Interment will be at a later dated in Naples, Florida.

Helen A. Kowalski 97, born February 19, 1922 in Park Place, Pennsylvania to the late Stanley and Antoinette (Klatka) Obrzut, passed from earthly life on November 5, 2019 while at home in Lexington, South Carolina. Helen was the 2nd of 14 children.

Helen (Nana) is survived by her devoted daughter, Doris Kowalski; her devoted granddaughter, Ashley M. Elstro of Chapel Hill, SC and Washington, DC. Ashley’s Parents, Pat and Paul Elstro of Chapel Hill, NC. Sisters. Rose McCarthy of N. Ft. Myers, FL; Mary Ann Syroski of Parma, OH and Brother, Frank Obrzut (Patricia) of Mentor, OH. Sisters-in-Law, Antoinette Obrzut of Mahanoy City, PA; Marion Obrzut of Rochester Hills, MI. Also survived by very many nieces, nephews and friends.

Helen is predeceased by her husband Ignatius F. Kowalski in 1984, her daughter Antoinette M. Elstro in 1997. Sisters, Blanche, Katherine, Ann, Geraldine, and baby Mary Ann. Brothers, Walter, Leo, Andrew, Stanley and Joseph.
