Ida "Janet" Gunter

Ida "Janet" Gunter, 93, of Batesburg, passed away Thursday, December 18, 2014. Funeral services will be held at 3:00 P.M. Sunday, December 21, at Mt. Ebal Baptist Church with interment in the church cemetery with Rev. Bill Paulling and Rev. Kyle Harmon officiating. Mrs. Gunter was born in Batesburg, SC, daughter of the late Julian J. Parrish and Lillie Johnson Parrish. She was married to the late Desola W. Gunter. Surviving are her daughter and son-in-law, Annette (Ludwig) Thibault of Chattanooga, Tennessee; sons and daughters-in-law, W. Samuel Gunter of Batesburg; Morris Gunter (Brenda Rarick); Larry (Ann) Gunter of Leesville; Bruce (Susan) Gunter of Batesburg; five grandchildren; and two great grandsons. The family will receive friends from 6:00 - 8:00 P.M. Saturday, December 20, at Milton Shealy Funeral Home, other times at the home of her son, Bruce (Susan) Gunter, 135 Leon Berry Road, Batesburg, SC 29006.
