J.B. Trotter

J.B. Trotter, 81, of Leesville, passed away Saturday, June 14, 2014. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 A.M. Thursday, June 19, at Milton Shealy Funeral Home Chapel with interment in Beulah Baptist Church Cemetery. Active pallbearers will be Robert Trotter, James Helms, Odell Shealy, Brian Black, Austin White, Zane Corley, Chris Rinhardt and Wayne Taylor. Honorary pallbearers will be Ray Corley, Larry McCullough, Billy Corder, Carlton Oswalt, Donald Ray Trotter, Bryson Cockrell, Robert Corley, Wyman Fallaw, Deacons of Beulah Baptist Church and the breakfast club of Dean's. Mr. Trotter was born in Leesville, SC, son of the late George F. and Mary Alma Black Trotter. He was a member and former deacon of Beulah Baptist Church. He was a farmer and worked for Wilson Brother Sand Company. Surviving are his faithful companion of 61 years, Annelle Cockrell; family members, Robert "Robbie" Trotter; Tena Trotter Helms; and Donald Ray Trotter. The family will receive friends from 6:00 - 8:00 P.M. Wednesday, June 18, at Milton Shealy Funeral Home, other times at the home of Annelle Cockrell, 255 Old Golf Course Road, Batesburg, SC 29006. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Beulah Baptist Church, 879 Beulah Road, Leesville, SC 29070.
