Jobe Smith, Jr., 89, of Gilbert, passed away Sunday, August 7, 2016. Funeral services will be held at 4:00 P.M. Wednesday, August 10, at Charity Community Church with interment in the church cemetery with Rev. Paul Widener officiating.
Mr. Smith was born in Gilbert, SC, son of the late Jobe Smith, Sr. and Maggie Smith.
Surviving are his wife, Margaret Hall Smith, daughter and son-in-law, Linda (Melton) Gunter; grandchildren, Joey (Alivia) Gunter; Amanda (Kevin) Barefoot; great grandchildren, Katelyn Barefoot; and Joseph and Daniel Gunter.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 – 8:00 P.M. Tuesday, August 9, at Milton Shealy Funeral Home. A special thank you is extended to Tri-County Hospice for their care. Memorials may be made to Charity Community Church, P.O. Box 193, Gilbert, SC 29054.
