John Henry Rankin, Jr.

John Henry Rankin, Jr, 67, of Batesburg, passed away Monday, December 19, 2016. A graveside service will be held at 11:00 A.M. Thursday, December 22, at Beulah Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. Jerry Houghton and Rev. Rick Scott officiating. Visitation will be held one hour before the service in the church. Active pallbearers will be Brent Crapps, Shannon Crapps, Phil Parker and Wayne Bodie.

Mr. Rankin was born in Monetta, SC, son of Cornelia Blackwell Rankin and the late John Henry Rankin, Sr. He was an U.S. Army Veteran. He was a member of Beulah Baptist Church. Mr. Rankin enjoyed playing golf.

Surviving are his wife, Marilyn Temples Rankin; sons, Chad and Jeramie Rankin; sisters and brothers-in-law, Ann (Phillip) Parker; Nancy (Alton) Crapps; brother, John Kenneth Miller; and grandchild, Caydence Carter.
