Larry "Lynwood" Derrick, 69, of Leesville, passed away Saturday, June 28, 2014. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 A.M. Saturday, July 5, at Rehoboth United Methodist Church with Rev. Dr. Noble Miller officiating. Visitation will be held one hour before the service at the church. Mr. Derrick was born in Leesville, SC, son of the late Blease Derrick and Nettie Lee Snelgrove Derrick. He was a member of Rehoboth United Methodist Church and the Rehoboth United Methodist Men's Club. He enjoyed racing and was a brick mason. Surviving are his wife, Julia Shealy Derrick; sons, Earl (Kaitlin) Derrick of Leesville; Barry (Shenia) Derrick of Alabama; sisters, Leoris Jumper; Venola Covington both of Leesville; brother, Teddy Derrick of Lexington; and one granddaughter. He was preceded in death by son, Jeffrey Derrick; and brother, Brady Derrick.
