Linda Hazel Griffin

Linda Hazel Griffin, of Monetta, passed away Thursday, November 21, 2019. Graveside service will be held at 1:00 PM Saturday, November 23, at Wayne Hall Cemetery. Active pallbearers are Tyler McCurry, Buddy Smith, Mike Smith and Nick Reese.

Mrs. Griffin was born in Aiken County daughter of the late John and Viney Hall Smith. She retired from Knight Industries. She was a member of Old Samaria Baptist Church.

Surviving are her husband, Kenneth Dale Griffin; sons, Melvin Burgess (fiancée, Paula Goff); Marvin Burgess; daughter, Susan Moates (Larry); sister, Rachel Storey; brother, John L. Smith; grandchildren: Stephen Burgess, Stephanie Thomas, Casey Moates, Mae Nichole Moates, David Burgess, Kevin Burgess, Kerri-Jo Knight, and Rebecca Knight; great grandchildren: Layne Gayhart, Willow McCurry, Paisley McCurry, Cody Hall, Tyler Hall, Precious Moates, Kiara Morris, Tyrion Colwell, Alexis Corbett, Ryan Corbett, and Kayla Gunter. She predeceased by a son, Stanley Burgess; brothers, Bennie, Luther, Frank, and Doyle Smith; sister, Kathy Smith.

The family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00 PM Friday, November 22, at Milton Shealy Funeral Home.
