Marvin Lawson

Marvin Lawson, 57, of Batesburg, passed away Saturday, November 29, 2014. Memorial services will be held at 4:00 P.M. Monday, December 1 at Milton Shealy Funeral Home Chapel with visitation to follow. Mr. Lawson was born in Columbia, SC, on March 26, 1957. He was the son of the late Colie and Leola Lawson. He was a retired heating and air conditioning service technician. Marvin enjoyed playing the guitar and singing with family and friends. Surviving are his daughter, Jessica (Shawn) Lawson Lightsey of Statesboro, GA; brother, Gene (Mary) Lawson of Florida; sisters, Joyce (Roy) Mechling; Janice (Joey) Kneece both of Batesburg; granddaughters, Reese and Skylar Lightsey; also special friends, Jeff, Jackie, Dylan, and Colten Harmon.
