Naomi Wingard Hite

Naomi Wingard Hite, 97, of Gilbert, passed away Monday, August 21, 2017. Funeral services will be held at 4:00 PM Thursday, August 24, at Grace Lutheran Church with interment in Taylor Family Cemetery with Rev. Judson Merrell officiating. Visitation will be held from 3:00-4:00 PM Thursday, prior to the service at the church.

Mrs. Hite was born in Gilbert, SC daughter of the late Neely and Bessie Wingard. She was owner of Hite’s Grocery Store. She was married to the late Adam Hoyt Hite.

Surviving are her daughter, Rachel Hite McCartha; sister, Ruth White; grandchildren: Sharon Mack (Jackson) and Sidney McCartha; great grandchildren: Annie Mack, A.J. Mack, Adam McCartha and Taylor McCartha.

She was predeceased by sisters, Rosalee Wingard, Mernice Wingard, Daphane Senn, Doris Kyzer and Blanch Wingard.
