Robert Steven "Radar" Waters, Sr.

Robert Steven "Radar" Waters, Sr., 55, of Gilbert, passed away Wednesday, July 16, 2014. Memorial service will be held at 6:00 PM Monday, July 21, 2014 at Milton Shealy Funeral Home Chapel (dress casual come as you are) conducted by Rev. Starrett Hall . Visitation will be held after the service at the funeral home, other times at the home of his son Danny Anderson, 144 South Fair Avenue, Batesburg and at the home of his mother, 407 Angel Wings Road, Batesburg. Mr. Waters was born at Fort Jackson in Columbia, SC son of the late Sgt. Homer T. Waters and Jean and Jerald Starling. He was a member of Old Samaria Baptist Church. He was a farmer and had worked for Columbia Farms. He is survived by his wife of 24 years, Carolyn M. Anderson Waters; three children, Danny (Heather) Anderson of Batesburg; Jessica (Stevie) Wood of Batesburg; and Robert Steven Waters, Jr.; two sisters, Jackie (Jimmy) Steinmeyer of Columbia; Wanda (Randy) Burnett of New Hampshire; five grandchildren; two nephews, and two nieces. He was preceded in death by his father, Homer T. Waters. In lieu of flowers memorial can be made to: ALS, 1023 Wappo Road, Charleston, SC 29407.
