Sammy Foy Roberts, 78, passed away Wednesday, September 6, 2017. Visitation will be held from 9:30-11:00 AM Friday, September 8, at Celebration Church (Hwy 178) where he was a charter member. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 A.M. at Celebration Church with Pastor Jerry Brunson officiating. A burial service will take place after the funeral service at 4:00 P.M. in Metter, GA, at Cool Spring Baptist Church Cemetery.
Mr. Roberts was born in Brunswick, GA, son of the late Reverend James Sampson Roberts and Bertha Mosley Roberts.
He is survived by his loving wife, Linda Roberts; sons, Todd Roberts (Angie); Samuel F. Roberts II “Bo” (Dannielle); daughters, Karen Carter; Dana Fordham; and Jessica Harrell (Aaron); fourteen grandchildren; ten great grandchildren; brother Joe Roberts; and sister Naomi Roberts.
