Shannon Maroney

Shannon Paul Maroney, 43, of Leesville, passed away Friday, June 18, 2021. The funeral service with military honors for Mr. Maroney will be held at 3:00 p.m., on Thursday, June 24th, at Milton Shealy Funeral Home with burial on Maroney Hill. The Rev. Dennis Lear will officiate. The family will receive friends from 5 until 7 p.m., on Wednesday, June 23rd, at the funeral home and other times at his step-mothers home, Teresa Maroney, 2328 Derrick Hollow Road, Leesville, SC 29070. Active pallbearers will be Jason Womack, Anthony "Amp" Gunter, Ryan Turner, Mike Ard, Chad Miles and David Miles. Honorary pallbearers, John Wade Taylor and Patrick James Taylor

Mr. Maroney was born in Lexington, the son of Adam Maroney and Vivan Yvone "Bonnie" Maroney Murrell. He was a United States Marine Veteran. Mr. Maroney was an avid outdoorsman, who enjoyed hunting and fishing.

Surviving are his spouse, Jenna W. Taylor; daughters, Natasha W. Maroney and Alexis D. Maroney; father, Adam Maroney; mother and step-father, Bonnie Murrell (Allen); step-mother, Teresa Maroney (Mike); brothers, Adam P. Maroney, Jr, Rodney C. Dominick; sister, Katelyn Maroney; and numerous aunts, uncles, and extended family members. He was preceded in death by a brother, Eric Wade Maroney.
