Steve Jason Lawson, Sr., 35, of Batesburg, passed away Monday, July 27, 2015. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Friday, July 31, 2015 at Milton Shealy Funeral Home Chapel with interment in Ridge Crest Memorial Park. Active pallbearers are Jacob Lawson, Tyler Lawson, Seth Chavis, Curtis Crouch, Ricky Sarrance, Steven Roberts and James Goff. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the funeral home, other times at the home of his parents. Mr. Lawson was born in West Columbia, SC son of Curlie and Brenda Goff Lawson. He was self-employed doing home repairs. He loved fishing with his son. Surviving are his wife, Cassidy Hollis Lawson; his parents, Curlie and Brenda Lawson; son, Steve Jason Lawson Jr.; daughter, Victoria Nichole Lawson; brothers and sisters-in-law, Gene (Melanie) Lawson; George (Carol) Lawson; sisters and brothers-in-law, Kitty (Bobby) Ward and Christine (Mike) Alveshire; and many nieces and nephews.
