Thomas Covington Sr.

Thomas R. Covington Sr., 68, of Leesville was called to his Heavenly home Monday, May 23, 2022. A graveside service will be held at 3 p.m. on Thursday, May 26, 2022, at Beulah United Methodist Church of Gilbert.

Mr. Covington was born in Gilbert, SC, a son of the late James and Wilma Covington. He was married to Mrs. Jettie Covington. Mr. Covington was a member of Beulah United Methodist Church. He was a loving husband, father, and Christian. His great loves were God, his family, and the Clemson Tigers.

Surviving is his wife of over 48 years, Jettie Shealy Covington; son, Thomas Covington, Jr.; and granddaughter, Sydney Covington. He is also survived by his siblings, Ellon (Nelson) Quattlebaum, Carol (Mike) Oswald, Wyman (Becky) Covington, and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his sisters, Jan C. Parrish and Lynn C. Roof.

The Covington family would like to give special thanks to MSA Hospice for their compassionate care, Dr. Matthew N. Thoma, and Dr. Peyton Foust for their outpouring of support and healing for Mr. Covington.
