Vounzell N. Barham, 86, of Batesburg, passed away Sunday, November 9, 2014. Funeral services will be held at 3:30 P.M. Wednesday, November 12, at Milton Shealy Funeral Home Chapel with entombment in Christ the Good Shepherd Mausoleum with Rev. Rocky Purvis and Rev. Charles Leonhardt officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Active pallbearers will be Chad Satcher, Scott Moore, Brandon Moore, Chris Ray and Buck Morrison. Honorary pallbearers will be the Willing Workers of First Baptist of Leesville and the Truth Seekers of Northside Baptist Church. Mrs. Barham was born in Fayette, Alabama, daughter of the late Claude and Floy Nelson Nichols. She was a homemaker. Surviving are her husband, J.W. Barham; daughters, Barbara Smith (Kyle) Watson; Martha Barham (Steve) Smith; sisters, Louise Blanton; Glendolia Gaston; Dana Lawson; brothers, Wendell Nichols; grandchildren, Robin Moore (Brian) Sikes; Scott Moore (Jen); Michelle R. (Buck) Morrison; Wendy Watson (Daniel) ; Summer Smith (Chad) Satcher; great grandchildren, Will Satcher; Madeleine and Olivia Sikes; Brandon, Justin and Josh Moore; Eddie Reeves; Amber and Chris Ray; Travis Rea; and three great great granddaughters. She was preceded in death by daughter, Sharon Moore Rich and grandchild, James Moore. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to First Baptist Church of Leesville, 264 Main Street, Leesville, SC 29006.
