Walter Harold Parrish

Walter Harold Parrish, 88, of Batesburg, passed away Monday, April 10, 2017. Funeral services will be held at 3:00 P.M. Thursday, April 13, at Bethlehem Baptist Church with interment in Ridge Crest Memorial Park with Rev Justin Eshleman officiating. The family will receive friends from 1:00 – 3:00 P.M. Thursday before the service at the church, other times at the home of his granddaughter, Candace Murphy. Active pallbearers will be Todd Frick, Paul Shuler, Tim Murphy, Travis Parrish, Bryan Parrish, and David Davis. Honorary pallbearers will be the deacons of Bethlehem Baptist Church.

Mr. Parrish was born in Batesburg, SC, son of the late Walter Alexander and Alean Stone Parrish. He was a member of Bethlehem Baptist Church. Mr. Harold loved fishing, gardening and signing in the Bethlehem Baptist Church Choir.

Surviving are his wife, Joyce Althea Lybrand Parrish; son and daughter-in-law, Allen (Sharon) Parrish; daughter, Cathy Parrish McGill; daughter-in-law, Jan Parrish; grandchildren, Candace (Tim) Murphy, Bryan (Krista) Parrish, Allison (David) Davis, Brandon and Tommy Schaefer, Travis (Samantha) Parrish; Chancie (Todd) Frick; great grandchildren, Lauryn (Paul) Shuler, Abby Murphy, Tyler and Annie Parrish, Gavin Parrish, Libby and Samantha Davis, Mikkal and Christian Davis, Hailey McCullar, Sarah Reale, Brent McCullar (fiancé, Adrianna) , Brad (Dodie) McCullar, Skyler Frick; one great great grandson, Myles Shuler, one unborn great great grandson; and a close friend of the family, Dorothy Parrish. He was preceded in death by his parents, Walter and Alean Parrish; son, Larry Parrish; brothers, Lester and David Parrish; sisters, Geneva P. Lewis Keisler, Ruby P. Corder, Annie P. Smoak, and Claudia Parrish.
