Wayne Birchmore

Wayne Timmons Birchmore, 66, of Gilbert, passed away Sunday, July 18, 2021 surrounded by his loving wife and children. The family will receive friends from 5:00 until 7:00 P.M. Wednesday, July 21st, at Milton Shealy Funeral Home. A Celebration of Life will be held from 1:00 until 5:00 P.M. on Saturday, July 24th at 2049 Priceville Road, Gilbert, SC.

Mr. Birchmore was born in West Columbia, SC, a son of the late Rev. Stacey O'Neil Birchmore, Sr. and Ophelia Timmons Birchmore. He was a 1974 graduate of Airport High School where he served as the DECA president. Mr. Birchmore umpired for the Gilbert Girl's Softball League and was also the past president of the league. He formerly worked for Golden State Foods as the maintenance supervisor. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and brother who will be missed by many.

Surviving are his wife of 35 years, Missy Birchmore; children, Dale Birchmore (Jacqueline), Andy Birchmore (Sharon), Cassie Taylor (Frankie), and Zack Birchmore (Bryana); five grandchildren, Bre Birchmore, Caleb Birchmore, Cooper Taylor, Brantley Taylor and Aiden Taylor. Also surviving are his brothers and sister-in-law, Stacey Birchmore, Jr. and Charles Birchmore (Shirley). In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Sandy Russell.
