William "Lanny" Orlando Brown

William “Lanny” Orlando Brown, 59, of Gilbert, SC, passed away on Wednesday, June 20, 2018. He was born on April 14, 1959 in Norfolk, Virginia to William “Ted” Dewey Brown and Barbara Frick Brown.

He is survived by his parents; two daughters, Jessica Ponds and Rachel (Shane) Fanning; sister, Wanda (Jim) Hill; brother, Phillip Brown; granddaughter, Shelby Fanning; two grandsons, Garrett Fanning and Jase Lewis; nieces, Sonia (Damien) Davenport and Alisha Bodie; great niece, Autumn Johnson; and two great nephews, Jacob Jumper and Tre’ Davenport.

Funeral services will be held at 3:00 P.M. Saturday, June 23, at St. James Lutheran Church, 308 Church Street, Leesville, SC, with interment in the church cemetery with Rev. Gina Meetze officiating. The family will receive friends from 2:00 – 3:00 P.M. before the service at the church. Active pallbearers will be Jim Hill, Shane Fanning, Matthew Ponds, Damien Davenport, Tracy Miller and Jacob Jumper.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. James Lutheran Church or the charity of one’s choice.
