Agnes Mary Roberts

AIKEN, SC – Agnes Mary Roberts, age 98, entered into rest May 3, 2022, at Trinity on Laurens.

Mrs. Roberts was born May 3, 1924 in Baltimore, Maryland to the late Herbert Clark and the late Agnes Toole Clark. She was a resident of Aiken, SC since 1972 and a communicant of St. Mary Help of Christians Catholic Church. She loved birdwatching, hiking in Hitchcock Woods, and was an avid reader and an excellent writer. She also enjoyed all forms of music and had a razor-sharp wit.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Edward John Roberts.

Survivors include two daughters, Janice Provanzano (Jack) and Joan Jones (Terry); four sons, Edward Roberts (Debbie), Paul Roberts, Mark Roberts (Becky), and Brian Roberts (Carrie); seven grandchildren, Donna, Amy, Erin, Kristin, Brendan, Casey, and Buddy; and five great-grandchildren, Kyle, Linus, Kaylie, Grant, and Clark.

Friends may call on Friday, May 6, 2022, from 6:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at George Funeral Home.

A Requiem Mass will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, May 7, 2022, at Old Historic St. Mary Help of Christians Catholic Church, Park Ave., with The Very Rev. Father Gregory Wilson as Celebrant. Final prayers and commendation will follow in Calvary Cemetery.
