A Funeral Mass for Mrs. Angeline F. Spano will be celebrated on Monday, May 7, 2007 at 11:30am at St. Mary Help of Christians Catholic Church, Aiken. Interment will follow in Sunset Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be Sunday, May 6, 2007 from 6-8pm at George Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 211 Park Avenue, SW with a wake service at 6:30pm. Memorial contributions may be directed to SC Commission for the Blind, Attn: Juan Sims, PO Box 2467, Columbia, SC, or Macular Degeneration Foundation, PO Box 531313, Henderson, NV, 89053.

Mrs. Spano, 84, of Aiken, died Friday, May 04, 2007 at Heartland Hospice, Augusta, GA.

Born in Piedmont, WV, she was the daughter of the late Joseph Patterson and Theresa Spano. She lived in Piedmont, WV before moving to Aiken in 1954. Angeline was a communicant at St. Mary Help of Christians Catholic Church and a member of the Knights of Columbus Council 3684 Auxiliary, Aiken. Mrs. Spano was a former seamstress for Whites Department Store and an avid bridge player.

In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her son, Louis Spano, Jr., sisters, Helen McCarty, Amie Beshara, and Mary Pezzanite. She is survived by her husband of sixty four years, Louis "Lou" Spano, son, Robert "Bob" Roseanna Spano, Aiken, sisters, Armenia Patterson, Rose Michaels, both of Piedmont, WV, Pat Ward, Norfolk, VA, grandchildren, John Spano, Paul Spano, and Chris Spano.
