Ann Bunch Eagerton

Ann Bunch Eagerton, 84, of Aiken, SC, passed away on July 9, 2026. Born on June 5, 1942, in Manhattan, NY, she was a daughter of the late James Barger Bunch and Florence Peck Bunch. After moving to Aiken in 1955, she graduated from Aiken High School in 1960. Following high school, she worked at the old Aiken hospital as a lab technician. After being a stay-at-home mom, she returned to Aiken High School to work in the computer lab and coach cheerleading. Later in life, she owned and operated Aiken Embroidery and Design for many years. She spent her life devoted to her family, friends, and many pets. Ann was known for being a devoted grandma, having a great sense of humor, and being fun-loving, while having no filter at all. She especially enjoyed tending to her flowers and always enjoyed a good smash burger and Dr. Pepper with her grandsons. Her presence brought joy, comfort, and humor to those who knew and loved her. We are so grateful for the time we had with her, but our lives will never be the same.

Surviving are her husband of 56 years, Barney Eagerton; her cat, Sonny; her daughter, Kristi Eagerton; her son, Jon (Kristen) Eagerton; her grandsons, Trent Eagerton and Chad Eagerton; and her brother, Jimmy (Mary) Bunch. She was preceded in death by her father and mother.

A celebration of life will be held at 2 o'clock on Monday, July 13th, at Town Creek Baptist Church, with Rev. Clint Smith officiating. The family will receive friends from 1 until 2 o'clock, prior to the service. Milton Shealy Funeral Home, Aiken Chapel, is assisting the Eagerton family.
