Annie Rose Asbill, 78, of Batesburg, passed away Sunday, July 20, 2014. A graveside service will be held at 11:00 A.M. Wednesday, July 23, at First Calvary Baptist Church Cemetery with interment with Rev. Johnny Muller and Rev. Mendle Baker officiating. Active pallbearers will be Doug White, Jimmy Hoover, Gerald Smith, Jeff Langford, Mike Derrick, and Tim Enlow. Mrs. Asbill was born in Leesville, SC, daughter of the late Marion Luther and Lila Taylor Derrick. She was married to the late J.R. Asbill. She was a home maker. Surviving are her daughter, Ronda (Dalton) Langford of Batesburg; brother, Floyd Derrick of Columbia; sisters, Sadie White of Saluda; Lorene Clamp of Lexington; Geraldine Price of Leesville; and granddaughter, Emily Langford of Batesburg. She was preceded in death by brothers, M.L.; J.C.; Ray; and Edward Derrick; sisters, Connie Hoover; Kathlee Smith; and Lizzie Mae Hall. The family will receive friends from 6:00 - 8:00 P.M. Tuesday, July 22, at Milton Shealy Funeral Home, other times at the home of her daughter, 1669 Spann Road, Batesburg, SC 29006. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Milton Shealy Funeral Home c/o Annie Rose Asbill Memory, 115 North Pine Street, Batesburg, SC 29006.
