It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Anthony Joseph Quinones, of the Columbia, South Carolina area, who died unexpectedly on January 3, 2026, at the age of 39.
Born in Columbia, South Carolina, on August 18, 1986, Anthony showed independence from an early age. He often taught himself new skills, including riding a bike and rollerblading, and carried that self-reliant spirit with him into adulthood.
Anthony was an avid video gamer and blogger, finding his true calling not in conventional education, but in the vibrant digital worlds he passionately explored. Known across various online communities by his gaming handle, he was respected for his quick reflexes, loyalty, and dedication to his guildmates and friends. Through gaming, Anthony forged deep and lasting friendships that transcended physical boundaries, building a network of companionship and camaraderie that meant the world to him.
He is survived by his beloved daughter, Chloe Marie Quinones, who was his whole heart (her mother, Kayla Crandell). He is also survived by his parents, Donna Marie Quinones and Robert Quinones; his sister, Nicole Renee Quinones; his uncle, David Lynch (Sand); many cousins; and countless friends — including his extended family of gaming companions who will miss their comrade-in-arms dearly.
A memorial service was held at 3:00 p.m. on January 17, 2026, at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, located at 34 Chestnut Ferry Road in Camden, South Carolina.
