Arthur Gary Keeler

Arthur Gary Keeler, 76, of Leesville, passed away on Thursday, June 27, 2024, at his home. Born in Albany, NY, he was the son of the late Arthur Livingston and Lola Adeleen Wey Keeler. Mr. Keeler retired from the South Carolina Department of Revenue in 2009 after 25 years of service as a Computer Programmer. Having a love for music, especially oldies, Gary was also a DJ for more than 30 years for special events. He loved working in his yard, cooking for large groups, and, most importantly, for his family and church family. Mr. Keeler also had a love for Miniature Dachshunds. He was a faithful member of Eastside Baptist Church, where he served as a Deacon along with many other roles within the church. Mr. Keeler loved his wife and family as well as his church family. He will be greatly missed by many.

Surviving are his wife of 30 years, Nancey "Jennie" Wood Keeler, of the home; as well his extended family, Steve and Ann Gantt, Crosson and JoAnn Wood, Larry and Barbara Enlow. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Patsy Carroll Keeler; father-in-law, Wilbur Wood; and mother-in-law, Helen Wood.

The service for Mr. Keeler will be held at 3 o'clock on Tuesday, July 2nd, at Eastside Baptist Church, with the Rev. Mitch Bruner and Rev. Donald Bodie officiating. A private entombment will take place in Ridge Crest Memorial Park. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service, beginning at 2 o'clock until 3 o'clock in the church gymnasium.
