Becky P. Brown

Rebecca "Becky" Prater Brown, 68, of Lexington, passed into the loving arms of God on July 20, 2022 in Lexington, SC. Becky was born November 10,1953 to Frances and C.E. Prater. A 1972 graduate of Old Columbia High School, Becky retired after 28 years of service with the South Carolina Department of Natural Resources. She was a loving and loyal friend, sister, daughter, mother and grandmother. Becky is predeceased by her father and her brother, Arthur Kent.

She is survived by her mother, Frances Prater; daughter, Rebecca Brewer Gordon; and son, Eric Brewer; brother, Jim (Julia) Prater; sister, Marsha Prater Kirkland and six grandchildren, Bryson, Kaitlyn, Chezney and Tristan Brewer and Hayden and Taylor Gordon .

A visitation for Becky will be held from 6 until 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, July 26th at Milton Shealy Funeral Home. The family request in lieu of flowers, memorials be made in Becky’s honor to The Harry Hampton Memorial Wildlife Fund, P.O. Box 2641, Columbia, SC 29202.
