Bertee Bridges Gaylard

EVANS, GA – Bertee Bridges Gaylard, formerly of Orangeburg St., Aiken, SC, died Friday, September 20, 2019 at Brandon Wilde Assisted Living.

Bertee was born March 14, 1928 in Margaret, GA to the late William C. Bridges and the late Ella Bridges. She was the first and only of her siblings to graduate college. She married Kenneth Gaylard in 1982 and they soon after made their home in Aiken, SC until moving to Brandon Wilde in 1999. Kenneth died in 2007. Bertee was a retired associate professor at the School of Nursing at the Medical College of Georgia.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by all of her siblings.

She is survived by nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews.

A graveside service will be held Tuesday, September 24, 2019 in Bethany Cemetery at 3:00 p.m.
