Bertha Irene Green

Funeral services for Mrs. Bertha Irene Green will be held Saturday, April 14, 2007 2pm at Levels Baptist Church with Rev. David Laird officiating. The family will receive friends from 6-8pm, Friday, April 13, 2007 at George Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 211 Park Avenue, SW. The family will also be receiving friends at the home of her daughter. Memorial contributions may be directed to the American Cancer Society.

Mrs. Green, 90, of Aiken, died Tuesday, April 10, 2007, at her residence.

Mrs. Greene was born in Aiken, to the late Thomas and Ida Lowe Raborn. She was a lifelong resident of Aiken. She was a retired weaver from the Graniteville Company and a member of Levels Baptist Church.

In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, James Ples Green, son, James Edward Green, brothers, Cecil Raborn, Thomas Raborn, Robert Raborn, sister, Irma White, and a granddaughter, Lisa Young . She is survived by her daughter, Patricia Quarles, Aiken, sister, Barbara Ann Young, Aiken, grandchildren, Katherine Young, Candice Green, Angela Mathis, Jason Quarles, Jesse Quarles, four great grandchildren, two great-great grandchildren.
