Bette Lober

Funeral services for Mrs. Bette T. Lober will be private. Mrs. Lober, 84, of Aiken, died Tuesday, March 13, 2007 at Aiken Regional Medical Centers.

A daughter of the late John and Mary Taylor, she was born in Baltimore Maryland and had lived in Fallston, MD before moving to Aiken four years ago.

A devoted wife and mother, it was only after her children left home that she went back to school and then started a career as an alcohol counselor for the City of Baltimore. She also volunteered for an area hospice. Upon moving near her daughter in Aiken, she volunteered helping deliver "Meals on Wheels".

In addition to her husband Len, she was also pre-deceased by a son, Eric Peck, who died in 2002.

She is survived by her daughter, Thomasene "Tommie" Culligan, Aiken, SC; a son, Randy Peck, Gainesville, FL; five grandchildren, Kim Culligan, Christopher Culligan, Robin Webb, Andrea Jones and Travis Peck and one great grandson, Dylan Webb.
