Bonnie Jean Black

Bonnie Jean Hammond Black, 77, passed away on Thursday, September 3, 2026. Born on June 8, 1949, in Columbia, South Carolina, she was a daughter of the late Mary Alice Sox Anderson and Herbert Anderson. Bonnie was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister-in-law, aunt, and friend. She was deeply loved by her family and those who knew her. The love she shared with her family and the many memories they made together will be treasured for years to come.

Surviving are her husband, Silas L. Black; children, Robbie (Eva) of West Virginia, Chris of Illinois, Mary (David) of South Carolina, and Sarah of South Carolina; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; along with her brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, cousins, and extended family members.

Bonnie was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.

A Celebration of Life for Bonnie will be held at a later date.
