Bonnie Jean Fearing, 80, of Lexington, passed away peacefully on Saturday, November 1, 2025. Born in Edgefield, SC, she was a daughter of the late Marjorie Quarles Wood and Clayton Quarles.
Mrs. Fearing was a kind and faith filled woman who attended the Church of God for many years, as long as her health allowed. Her gentle spirit and loving heart touched everyone who knew her. She enjoyed the simple joys in life like crocheting, taking walks, and never turning down a cold Pepsi or a bit of chocolate. Above all, she was a devoted mother and grandmother whose family meant everything to her.
Surviving are her son, James Fearing (Jessica); grandsons, Hunter Fearing and Landon Ledford; a brother, Guy Quarles; along with several nieces, nephews, and extended family members. She was preceded in death by her parents; her beloved husband, Larry O’Dell Fearing; a sister, Elizabeth Q. Fletcher; and a brother, Troy Eugene Wood.
A memorial service celebrating her life will be held at 2 o’clock on Wednesday, November 12th, at Milton Shealy Funeral Home, Batesburg Chapel, with Rev. Kenneth Pauley officiating.
