Callie Rose Gantt

Callie Rose Gantt, 82, of Batesburg-Leesville, passed away peacefully at his home on Monday, May 26, 2025. Born on December 25, 1942, he was a son of the late Levi and Minnie Lee Quattlebaum Gantt of Batesburg-Leesville. Callie dedicated many years of his life to Sears Roebuck and Company, where he worked as a skilled and trusted service technician until his retirement.

He is survived by his loving wife of 63 years, Joyce Gantt; daughter, Angela Gantt; son, Kelley Gantt; and his beloved grand-dog, Bentley, who brought him so much joy. In addition to his parents, Callie was preceded in death by his siblings, C.L. Gantt, Carlyle Gantt, Walter Gantt, Pauline Gantt Cook, and Myrtle Gantt Matthews.

A funeral service to honor Mr. Callie’s life will be held at 3 o’clock on Friday, May 30th at Milton Shealy Funeral Home, with burial immediately following in Quattlebaum Cemetery. Reverend Robert Culbertson and Chaplain Jude Peck will officiate. The family will receive friends from 5:30 until 7:00 o'clock on Thursday, May 29th at Milton Shealy Funeral Home.
