Carol Elizabeth Maxson

AIKEN, SC - Carol Elizabeth Maxson, age 85, passed away Tuesday, July 4, 2017.

Mrs. Maxson was born February 16, 1932 in Ilion, NY to the late William and Myrtle Titus. She was a resident of Aiken, SC for the past fourteen years, having previously lived in Frankfort, NY. Mrs. Maxson retired from Bluecross/Blueshield and was once the president of her pairs and squares club. She enjoyed playing both scrabble and golf. She scored a hole-in-one in her 70's. Mrs. Maxson also enjoyed the time spent with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Maxson was preceded in death by her husband, Ralph Maxson and a son, Richard Maxson.

She is survived by a daughter, Jayne Becker (Thomas), Aiken, SC; a son, Jeffrey Maxson (Rae), Ilion, NY; three grandchildren, Stephanie Becker Call, Gretchen Heichberger, and David Maxson; and six great-grandchildren.

Services will be held in Ilion, NY under the direction of Applegate Funeral Home.
